Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Introduces Next Generation Technology Smart Device 2.0 Empowered by Smart Work Gateway

A New Flagship Product that Solves Information Technology Challenges

Hong Kong, November 17, 2016 Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Limited (Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong)), a trusted information and communications technology (ICT) partner, today launched a brand-new document management smart device – Smart Device 2.0.

Offering the perfect blend of cloud solutions and one-stop services, the Smart Device 2.0 is poised to empower businesses to achieve smoother workflow as well as higher operational efficiency and productivity by 25%*. It also helps companies address information technology challenges in a comprehensive manner.

Smart Work Gateway is a brand-new concept that swiftly interconnects cloud network, Smart Device 2.0 and user’s personal mobile device. Office employees can enjoy unprecedented convenience of connecting to their workplace anytime, anywhere. Work is no longer bounded by time or place.

“At Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), we constantly strive to innovate solutions and services to address our customers’ needs and enhance their business productivity,” said Herbert Hui, Managing Director, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong). “In today’s competitive business landscape, businesses big and small are challenged to maximize efficiency and productivity. The all-new Smart Device 2.0, empowered by Smart Work Gateway, truly redefines the ‘smart workplace’ with user-centric and intuitive features, enabling enterprises to not only work smarter, but also build competitive edge and sustainable growth.”

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) interviewed close to 500 businesses in Hong Kong in November 2016, where 64.3% respondents were found to be facing various information technology-related challenges. The top 3 challenges relate to information security risk management (34.4%), lack of knowledge in implementing cloud computing (21.7%) and lack of knowledge in comprehending complex operation workflow (18.2%). However, when businesses are trying to solve these information technology problems, they are hindered by the rise in costs (43.5%), lack of in-house expertise (30.1%) and inadequate professional knowledge (16.3%). The introduction of Smart Device 2.0 empowers organizations to eliminate information technology setbacks outlined above.

Smart Device 2.0 Empowered by Smart Work Gateway

As the next generation of Smart Device, the Smart Device 2.0 is analytics enabled, cloud enabled and business process enabled – all without the need for server support. Along with high scanning and printing speed, the redesigned multi-functional smart device features a brand-new Super EA-Eco Toner that delivers unrivaled print quality across large printing volumes, ensuring collateral produced will simultaneously achieve consistent quality, higher productivity and cost optimization.

The survey also asked respondents what they think could enhance the workflow in their company. Most (38.8%) believed the company’s system should be user-friendly, followed by having stable and reliable devices at 22.3%, and increased mobility (e.g. being able to approve documents on mobile devices) at 20.8%. Therefore, at the core of Smart Device 2.0 is an updated series of Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong)’s proprietary Xpress solutions, designed to increase business operational effectiveness, mobility and stability for clients:
