Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) to accelerate growth in IoT era
Smart Device 2.0 and a series of cloud services and solutions to empower enterprises with innovative technologies and boost business performance
Hong Kong, February 23, 2017 – Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Limited (Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong)), a trusted information and communications technology (ICT) partner, continues to offer wide-ranging, innovative services and solutions to the market. The Internet of Things (IoT) era is currently a leading trend of the information technology sector. IDC’s recent report also shows that over 50% of enterprises surveyed consider IoT as the main strategy to enhance their competitiveness. Therefore, in 2017, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will strive to empower enterprises to embrace IoT and increase their competitive edge with a series of customized cloud services and solutions.
Interconnecting device enables enterprises’ uninterrupted connection to IoT
Three key components comprising IoT: cloud application, big data analytics and integrated business workflow are perfectly embodied in Smart Device 2.0, which empowers enterprises with increased market competitiveness. Document management has become an important part of work: according to research, 61% of office workers identified the need to access company data on their mobile devices. Smart Device 2.0, a new-generation mobile document management smart device consisting of hardware, software and cloud applications, is designed particularly for enterprises that handle and manage excessive documents, such as financial and banking, construction and legal industries. Smart Device 2.0 also works perfectly for enterprises and small-to-medium businesses with staff who always work on their mobile devices, because it enables the same working environment regardless of where they are. This smart device is becoming a workplace necessity that streamline workflow; employees are no longer bound by geographical restrictions and can stay connected to their office all the time. A survey indicates that officer workers spend on average 20% of their time daily handling documents – in other words, one fifth of manpower is spent on this matter. Based on the median household income in Hong Kong, a 100-people small-to-medium business spends over HK$3 million per year on handling documents, therefore a document management solution can help enterprises save time and costs, and better use their resources.
“In the rapidly evolving world of technology, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) again ranked number one in the A3 multi-purpose color printer market 20 years in a row. We keep up with the latest trends and constantly strive to offer complete services and solutions for boosting customers’ competitiveness,” said Herbert Hui, Managing Director, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong). “In 2017, our business will focus on IoT. We will launch more cloud services and solutions, and concurrently strengthen IoT application across industries. As a market leader, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) offers consultancy services underpinned by three pillars, including iWorkplace, Business Process Optimization (BPO) and Customer Communications Management (CCM). Smart Device 2.0 not only fully demonstrates these services, but also further automates business processes through IoT application. We will focus on the product services market, and encourage different enterprises to move towards to greener and business-friendly workflows by making good use of innovative technologies.”
High level of cloud security to secure confidential data
Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong)’s Global Services Business recorded a 30% business growth last year, mainly from insurance and banking industries, a sign of its competitive edge on outsourcing and consultancy services. Through its cloud-enabled print management outsourcing service, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has understood from enterprise clients their challenges around cloud security and is therefore actively offering a cloud risk assessment framework for cloud vendors. This framework integrates various stringent international standards, including Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and more. Together with unique technologies from Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), the framework standardizes cloud security management and monitoring, so enterprises can further understand cloud vendors and users’ practice to achieve a high level of security and prevent confidential data breach.
Recently, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) actively reacted to the HK$500 million Technology Voucher Program, launched by the Innovation and Technology Commission to help local small and medium businesses (SMEs) make better use of technological services and solutions. To complement this program, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) is offering a one-stop-shop Technology Voucher Program consultation service to encourage the use of funding, accelerate SMEs’ upgrade and transformation, increase competitive edge and accelerate their entry into the IoT era. In addition, last year, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) specially designed an iESG platform to help businesses simplify the ESG reporting and management processes according to the HKEX’s ESG disclosure requirements. With this initiative, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) is working with industry players towards a sustainable future.
As an enabler of industry development, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will continue to utilize innovative technologies and IoT’s advantages to develop comprehensive cloud services and solutions, and lead the industry towards the next significant milestone.
